Getting started

Collect and answer your first customer request

One public board is enough to begin. The steps below use durable product activity, not a tour that disappears when the page reloads.

  1. 01

    Create a public board

Name one customer topic clearly. Public boards appear in the portal and widget; private boards stay inside the workspace.

  2. 02

    Share the portal or widget

Copy the full board URL or paste the widget.js snippet before your site’s closing body tag. Open Feedback and submit a test request to verify it.

  3. 03

    Respond to the first request

Acknowledge what you heard, explain what happens next, and update the saved status as your plan changes.

  4. 04

    Close the loop

Shipping creates a changelog draft and schedules notifications. Review the draft before publishing it.

Visibility and review

Public and private board visibility is separate from moderation. A customer submission may wait for approval before everyone can see it; its workflow status is a different decision.

Roles and setup

Members can create boards and respond to feedback. Owners and admins manage appearance, invitations, and integrations. Trackers are optional; you can collect and reply without one.

Widget troubleshooting

Confirm the script loads from /widget.js, data-org matches the workspace slug, and optional data-board matches a public board slug. Submit a test request from the widget to verify the installation.

Profile troubleshooting

Add a public display name from Account after signing in. Strataboard never substitutes your sign-in email on public feedback or replies.
